i couldnt have been more than 10 years old when i first heard(tell me something good)that song ripped through me like nothing else could...A small boy humming the rythym guitar to this song in a classroom,and remembering my teacher at the time telling me to be silent,but i could not...1st theres the awesome rythym,then u have chaka omg,then those lyrics,,mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

of 11 she began singing with a group called the crystalettes...the name(chaka kahn) was created soon after she spent time helping out at the black panther breakfast program for a bit...
